About Me

 Hi

My name is Evelyn Moore (nee Robertson) I live in Fort Wayne Indiana USA.

I lived in Dunoon for many years, I  was married in Dunoon High Kirk (old Parish Church), Kirk Street,  the church on top of the hill facing Dunoon Pier in 1978. My mothers name is Joan Robertson she was a member of the country dance club in Dunoon, my sister is Marie Johnston she was married to Ian Jonston, Ian lived with the Allison's that owned the hotel, when Ian"s parents both died, the Allison's took Ian in to live with them. I worked in Holms hair dresser salon on the water front for June and Grant Taylor when I was a teenager, and a few years later I worked in Duncluther Childrens home.  I have 3 children, and 7 grand children now, and we love every one of them. My Husband Michael  was a navy sailor deployed on the USS Holland in the late seventies. I received the gift of life, and a second chance, a lung Transplant around Thanksgiving of 2005 (11-20-2005), it saved my life as I was very sick. I have been blessed to have a second chance in life to be with my family, I am proud of all of them and love them all so much, they are my strength my support, and my reason to keep going, they are my rock. I am doing good right now. but the past 15 years life has not been easy for all of us due to me being sick back then, but I do believe that good things can come out of some thing bad, as we are a much stronger family now (Prosapia Primoris ) which means in Latin Family First. I am a fighter and a surviver, I guess that"s the 100% Scottish in me, well the fighter part anyway. I used to have many friends in Dunnon but through the years we lost touch, some times I wonder where they are now. I miss Dunoon and the old good times, and the fun we used to have back  in the mid seventies, I think of those times often, if I could travel back through time, I would go back and have some fun again, to be with my friends, and maybe if I could  I would change a few things, or maybe I won't. It still was the best days ever. :)

Take Care All.
