About Me

When I lived in Dunoon, my name was Terri Ruthruff, I first came to Scotland when my husband was in the Navy and was on the USS HOLLAND.  While there we separated.  I lived with David Richardson, whose sister Elisabeth McBurney ;ran the Glasgow Hotel.  I would love to get in touch with anyone who remembers me while I was living there in 1981 and 1982.  My son, David was born there on Nov. 19, 1981.  He died in 2001 in a car accident.   He so badly wanted to see where he was born and sadly never got to visit.  I have fond memories of the time I spent there, hanging out at the Glasgow Hotel and playing pool  in the lounge and playing dominoes and of course drinking with all the locals and the guys who delivered for Tennents, big John Hill, John Patterson, Jimmy McClusky, and a few others whose names slip my mind.

About Me

I live in Glasgow.    Met my husband when he was a contractor at the Holy Loch in the late 80's.   He returned to the US - and then came back again.     We have a weekend place in Dunoon and spend as much time as we can down there.     The plan is to sell our house and buy one in Dunoon when we retire.

Can't wait :)
