About Me
When I lived in Dunoon, my name was Terri Ruthruff, I first came to Scotland when my husband was in the Navy and was on the USS HOLLAND. While there we separated. I lived with David Richardson, whose sister Elisabeth McBurney ;ran the Glasgow Hotel. I would love to get in touch with anyone who remembers me while I was living there in 1981 and 1982. My son, David was born there on Nov. 19, 1981. He died in 2001 in a car accident. He so badly wanted to see where he was born and sadly never got to visit. I have fond memories of the time I spent there, hanging out at the Glasgow Hotel and playing pool in the lounge and playing dominoes and of course drinking with all the locals and the guys who delivered for Tennents, big John Hill, John Patterson, Jimmy McClusky, and a few others whose names slip my mind. |

Hi, Visited the Cowal Games last year for the first time in 30 years, still as good as I remember them ! I met and married my Husband while we were both working out in Germany, he was born in Dunoon, and I was born in Edinburgh. We both worked attached to the military so we have done our fair share of travelling ! We have now been married for 42 years and chose to retire early to the sun of Granada in Spain. If anyone remembers my Husband ( Murray Fairlie ) from Dunoon Grammar school - I am sure he would love to hear from you. |
