left dunoon1989 to seek fame and fortune in london! still seeking!! worked in marshalls dairies from age of 12 as milk boy then progressed into the dairy itself, also worked in the george hotel for about 4 years. now an account manager in london (how did i manage that?) get back to dunoon once or twice a year and fully intend to move back when the time is right! |

Married with umpty kids, some still living at home. Been visting scotland for 25 years esp the In Laws over in Tighnabruiach.
Moved to Innellan (the old Montgomery place - the one with all the animals esp llamas?) in October 2006. Two of the kids who had moved out decided to move back fairly soon afterwards. Lost our eldest son to Epilepsy on Mothers Day 2007 thankfully we had the support and love of the village.
We are out and about more frequently and enjoy the social life as well as the sailing down at Toward where our boat is moored. Kids enjoy the local schools and have lots of mates here now.
Met lots of folks both on the www who are old Dunoonians and then there are the Dunoon folks, plus of course the incommers like us!

Hello Was born in Struan Lodge, Dunoon. Lived in Sandbank all my life until moving to the US in 1968. Luckily my husband & I got sent back to Holy Loch in 1974. Our three children consider themselves to be more than half Scottish. My husband was in the US Navy, spent a total of 10 years in the Loch, needless to say that is our favourite place on earth, get back as often as I can to visit. Our home now is in Maine, it is nice, reminds me in some ways of home. Our three grown children live in New England with their spouses & our six grandchildren. Our eldest son was born in Dunoon, as was his wife, they hope to visit this year as do I, my wee sister will be turning 50 & I want to be there to help her celebrate!! |

Born in Dunoon in the early 60's son of DGS teacher John Dunn and nurse Elizabeth Dunn, I have a younger brother Ian. We left Dunoon at the end of the 60's to live in Plean then Stirling. I am married to Kirsty with one son who is football mad.I live in Brightons but work in Edinburgh. I have not been back recently but do try every now and again shifts and football allowing. |
